- Cultural and personal details: religion, ethnicity, nationality, dietary preferences, lifestyle habits (smoking, drinking), education, occupation, and income range
- Preferences: match preferences including age range, height range, religion, ethnicity, education, location, and lifestyle preferences
- Communications: messages you send and receive within the App
- Verification documents: photos or documents submitted for identity, education, or employment verification
- Family contacts: if you opt in to the Family First feature, the email addresses of family members you designate for match approval
- Feedback and reports: information you provide when contacting support, submitting feedback, or reporting other users

- Device information: device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers
- Usage data: app interactions, feature usage patterns, and session duration

- Create and manage your account
- Provide matchmaking services, including compatibility scoring across 18 weighted categories
- Facilitate communication between matched users
- Process the Family First approval workflow when you opt in
- Use AI-assisted data extraction during onboarding to structure your profile information from natural language responses (powered by Google Gemini)
- Verify your identity and profile authenticity
- Send push notifications about matches, messages, and app updates
- Improve the App through analytics and performance monitoring
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect user safety through content moderation
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate and improve the App:
- Convex: backend infrastructure and real-time database
- Google Gemini AI: AI-assisted profile data extraction during onboarding (processed server-side)
- PostHog: product analytics to understand feature usage and improve the App
- Sentry: crash reporting and error monitoring
- Cloudflare R2: secure photo and media storage
- WorkOS: authentication infrastructure
- Google and Apple: OAuth authentication providers

5. Data Sharing
5.1 With Other Users
Your profile information (name, age, photos, bio, and other details you choose to share) is visible to other users based on your privacy settings. You can control photo visibility (public, matches only, after mutual interest, or family-approved only).
5.2 Family First Feature
If you opt in to the Family First feature, limited information about your matches (name, age, and city) will be shared with the family contacts you designate via email. This sharing only occurs with your explicit consent and for contacts you specify.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.
5.4 Safety
We may share information with law enforcement when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect user safety.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or safety purposes.

8. Data Security

Pardesi is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
